CSV stands for “Comma-separated values”. A CSV file a simple text file that stores some data in a specific format. That format allows for a fast reading by programs. Each row in the CSV file represents a row in a table. Each column represents a table column. Obviously, the rows are separated by a new line (each row is written in a new line), but to separate one column from another, a comma “,” character is used. The number of columns and rows is unlimited.
